5 Book Series

Written By: Declan 11 years old

Note:

This book is a sequel series to Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus, so make sure you read those first in that order before this series.

Summary:

Trials of Apollo is a sequel series to Heroes of Olympus. After the war with the giants, Zeus sends Apollo down to earth as a mortal. Here he becomes a servant to Meg, a young girl who is a daughter of Demeter. He learns there are three ancient roman emperors who have been saving up resources and waiting for hundreds of years to attack. Now they have control of all five ancient oracles. Apollo must free all five oracles and defeat these immortal emperors to regain his rightful place on Mount Olympus.

What I liked and didn’t like:

This book, like the others in the series before it, is really good. This book focuses on Greek and Roman mythology and you meet many characters from the former series. It also is really humorous. It has lots of adventure and excitement. It is also cool to see character development throughout the story. One thing I didn’t like about it was that it felt like they were trying to fit so many previous characters in the book that it felt like the characters kept switching and changing.

What books this is like:

This book is like other Rick Riordan books. It has the same structure as Heroes of Olympus where they are slowly doing smaller quests to build up to one big goal. This book is also like Percy Jackson because it is humorous and has the same style of writing.
