Summary:

Harry Potter was a young boy when it happened. An evil wizard known as Lord Voldemort smashed down the Potter’s door and murdered the parents of Harry Potter. Miraculously, Harry survived the Killing Curse sent at him by Lord Voldemort for reasons we do not yet know. 9-10 years later, Harry is living at his aunt and uncle’s house completely unaware that he is a wizard.

What I liked and didn't like:

I loved the way the characters were developed. I also liked how there was always something relatively important going on and all the spells.  For example, at Shell Cottage, they were still creating a plan.I liked that Hermione was a nerd and that Harry and Ron learned to respect her for it. I LOVED the Marauders Map and how it told you where everyone was. I disliked the fact that the story was told in a 3rd person point of view.

What it reminds me of:

Harry Potter reminds me of Percy Jackson because of the comedy and the magic. The magic in Harry Potter is similar to the magic in Percy Jackson because you can die in an instant. It also reminds me of Spy School because of the action. The action in Spy School is similar to the action in Harry Potter because there is a lot of death.
