2 Book Series

By: Declan, 12 years old

Summary:

In the Edge of Extinction series we meet Sky, a young girl living underground with who she believes are the last of the human race after the dinosaur takeover. When she was young her dad tried to leave the compound taking supplies that supposedly jeopardized the survival of the human race. She learns that her dad left her to deliver important information to some of his friends that were working to help the human race but never made it. Now Sky must set on this perilous journey to help the human race.

What I liked and didn’t like:

I really liked how this was a great science fiction book. It had a bunch of great allusions to modern day things and it was a really well written book. I also liked how it taught me stuff about dinosaurs that I definitely didn’t know. For example I learned that pterodactyls and swimming dinosaurs aren’t actually dinosaurs. What I didn’t like about this series was how short it was. It was only 2 books long meaning that we didn’t really get to know the characters or the rest of the world well.

What books this is like:

This book is a lot like Percy Jackson where the main character learns their life is a lie and are thrust out on an adventure with no experience at all. It is also like Percy Jackson because they both are fighting their way through everything the world throws at them.
